Here are the dates for the third test for both CHM 110 and CHM 111.

CHM 110 sections 1 and 2 (MW lecture)

The third CHM 110 test for sections 1 and 2 will be given on Wednesday, November 16th.  It will cover

• Chapter 3: Section 3.8 – Limiting reactant and percent yield.  Review basic chemical calculations to help you with material in Chapter 5, too!
• Chapter 4: Sections 4.1-4.5 – Reactions.  Also review sections 4.7-4.8, which cover molarity, as you may have problems involving solutions on the test.
• Chapter 5: Sections 5.1-5.6, and section 5.8 – Gases.
• Chapter 7: Sections 7.1-7.5 – Quantum theory and the electron cloud.
• Class notes:  Pages 105-159, plus review earlier material mentioned above.

CHM 110 section 3 (TTH lecture)

The third CHM 110 test for section 3 will be given on Thursday, November 17th.  It will cover

• Chapter 3: Section 3.8 – Limiting reactant and percent yield.  Review basic chemical calculations to help you with material in Chapter 5, too!
• Chapter 4: Sections 4.1-4.5 – Reactions.  Also review sections 4.7-4.8, which cover molarity, as you may have problems involving solutions on the test.
• Chapter 5: Sections 5.1-5.6, and section 5.8 – Gases.

The third CHM 111 test will be given on Wednesday, November 16th.  It will cover

• Chapter 14: All sections – Equilibrium.
• Chapter 15: Sections 15.1-15.4, 15.6-15.8 – Acids, bases, and pH.
• Chapter 16: Sections 16.1-16.3 – pH of weak acids and weak bases.
• Class notes:  Pages 99-153.
