FDTC Closed on Tuesday 9/11/18

FDTC announced this afternoon that the college would be closed starting on Tuesday:

Alert: Beginning on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, all of Florence-Darlington Technical College’s campuses will be closed until further notice for students, staff and faculty due to Hurricane Florence.

The school will likely re-open once Hurricane Florence is gone, depending on the level of damage to the area.  You can read official updates from the school here.  I’ll also post an update on this site when I get word of when FDTC will re-open.  Stay safe!

Happy Labor Day!

Monday September 3rd is the Labor Day holiday, so there will be no class or lab then.  Enjoy your day off.  Remember, though, that the first test for all sections of CHM 110 and CHM 111 are near the end of next week.

  • Test 1 for CHM 110 sections 1 and 2 will be on Wednesday September 5th.  It covers all of OpenStax chapter 1 and OpenStax chapter 2 sections 2.1-2.5.
  • Test 1 for CHM 111 will be on Wednesday September 5th, covering Ebbing chapters 10 and 11 (except for the sections you were told in class to skip).  Also review Lewis structures from chapter 9 since they’re necessary for the chapter 10 material.
  • Test 1 for CHM 110 section 3 will be on Thursday September 6th.  The test will cover OpenStax chapters 1 and 2.  We may not finish the last section of Chapter 2, and whether that material will be on Thursday’s test depends on how far we get in Tuesday’s lecture class.

If you have any questions, either leave a comment here on the site or send me an e-mail.  Enjoy the long weekend!
