CHM 111: Updated study guides available

I noticed yesterday morning that the study guides previously posted for CHM 111 were outdated.  We’ve recently changed editions ofour textbook, and the study guides previously posted referred to practice problems in the old edition.  I have uploaded study guides for the new edition, and you can get them from [the study guide page].

Or, use the direct links below to get the updated study guides for chapters 10 and 11:

Site upgrades

I’ve updated this site with the latest version of WordPress.  What does that mean for you?  Hopefully, the site will be a little faster.  Not much else should change from your perspective.

If you encounter any problems (things that don’t seem to work the way they should or broken links), please leave a comment here or e-mail me.

CHM 100: Test #1 Announcements

Test 1 grades

Test #1 grades are available for viewing in [Desire2Learn]!  I will give back the tests in class on Tuesday 6/16.

Make-ups for test 1

If you did not take Test #1 on June 9th, you may take Test #1 at the Assessment Center on Thursday (6/11), Friday (6/12), or Monday (6/15).  Don’t forget to bring your calculator and a picture ID with you to the assessment canter, and to allow yourself at least an hour and a half to take the test.

The assessment center is in room 111 (100 building).  Please look at the assessment center’s [operating hours] before going in to take your test – to make sure they’re open and don’t close before you’re finished with your test!

CHM 110: Upcoming laboratory experiments

Mr. Saleeby will fill you in more tomorrow, but here is a list of this week’s CHM 110 lab experiments:

  • 6/9/09 (Tuesday):  EXPERIMENT 4C – TITRATION (volumetric analysis)
  • 6/11/09 (Thursday): MOLECULAR WEIGHT DETERMINATION (gas law experiment)

Thursday’s experiment is not in the lab manual, so print out the handout below and bring it with you to Thursday’s lab!
